Sir Keith Park's boiler - sponsor a tube
Battle of Britain class loco 34053 Sir Keith Park is nearly restored. The boiler repairs are progressing and it will soon be ready for a complete new set of tubes. We need your help:
The boiler requires 112 Small Boiler Tubes, and the Superheater needs 32 Flues in which are placed 32 Elements, which will cost around £38,000. Please support us by sponsoring an item, enabling the loco to return to service in 2011.
- Sponsor a Boiler Tube for £65 and receive a ticket for Sir Keith Park's launch train
- Sponsor a Flue or Superheater Element for £475 and drive or fire Sir Keith Park
The launch trains and footplate experiences will be offered as soon as possible following the Sir Keith Park's return to service, subject to availability and normal H&S conditions; we are targeting late-2011.
